Christ Is The Morning Star is a work composed by Michael Ball that sets a passage from the Bible and a translation of a text by Bede for SATB Chorus and Organ Accompaniment. The work was first performed on 1st July 1989 during Evensong by the choir of Manchester Cathedral with organist Gordon Stewart, conducted by Stuart Beer, during the 1989 Festival of the Federation of Cathedral Old Choristers' Associations, who were the commissioners of the work.
