The choral score of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s oratorio “Elijah” is based on the scholarly-critical edition edited by Mendelssohn specialist Douglass Seaton. In its 1847 version, this musical setting of the story of the Biblical prophet from the 1st Book of Kings has remained popular to the present day. The choral score is fully compatible with the existing performance material.
