Commissioned, with financial support from Southern Arts, by the Waynflete Singers who first performed it with David Wilson Johnson (baritone), and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by David Hill, in Winchester Cathederal on 11th July 1990. The duration of the work is 20 minutes, the full score and orchestral music is available for hire.
