Advent and Christmas have their special sound. Particularly in choral music, some wonderful works have survived over the centuries. The Orpheus Vokalensemble, under the direction of Michael Alber, presents a cross section of this repertoire traversing both countries and centuries. Their selection encompasses traditional songs, presents well-known repertoire in new, entertaining arrangements, and contains seldom-heard compositions and unknown treasures in different languages. The result is a warm and wonderful CD which is a true feast for the ears and the heart that will still stimulate people to sing along. Now Christmas can come.
