Krenek moved with ease through the various aesthetic and stylistic changes that marked the Twentieth century, taking what he considered the best features of each and fusing them into a new language all his own. These pieces are taken from 'Twelve Short Pieces in the Twelve-Tone Technique for Piano' (catalogue number GS32750) and transcribed for an 8-part Clarinet Choir by Frank Erickson. They evoke, respectively 'Dancing Toys', a 'Peaceful Mood' and 'Walking on a Stormy Day'.
