The genius country bluesman/ songster Mance Lipscomb, was the most accomplished of the dead thumb guitarist whose solid driving bass propelled his dance-like, spontaneous melodies through song after song. Coming from a musical family and grew up playing in the Texas country blues traditions meant that he soon became respected as a fine and consummate blues guitarist.
